LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A beloved engineering professor at Texas Tech not only gets rave reviews from his students, but some have signed up to help save his life. After a call for help on social media, more than 50 people signed up to give him one of their kidneys.
In between his five classes, Jeff Hanson, Ph.D., is editing resumes and giving advice. For the mechanical engineering professor, much of the job is outside his classroom.
“If somebody doesn’t get it, they come over and sit at the kitchen table and I tutor them. And the back wall of our house is a glass wall. And while the students come over there, I use it as a white board and so I’ll get in there and we work with my expo markers all over the window,” he said…
