Lubbock native serving with Navy Medicine in Virginia advances in rank

MILLINGTON, Tenn. – Lt. Cmdr. Eric Gonzales, a native of Lubbock, Texas, was recently advanced in rank while serving at Naval Medical Readiness Logistics Command (NMRLC) Williamsburg, Virginia.

Gonzales is a 1993 graduate of Coronado High School. Additionally, Gonzales earned a bachelor’s degree in human resources from Webster University and a master’s degree in business administration and health administration from Baylor University.

The skills and values needed to succeed in the Navy are similar to those found in Lubbock.

“Growing up in my hometown, I learned the value of hard work and the importance of having strength of character — qualities that were exemplified by everyone in my family,” Gonzales said. “I also came to deeply appreciate the support of family and the role it plays in resilience and success. These lessons have stayed with me throughout my time in the military.”…
