Man charged for threatening Slaton police officer after arrest

SLATON, Texas (KCBD) – A man is now facing charges after threatening a Slaton police officer while under arrest for another separate crime.

According to court documents, Paul Rodriguez pulled a knife on Robert Rodriguez early last month on Aug. 5. The two men were arguing over a game controller.

The interaction was captured on video and police said once officers arrested Paul, he started screaming profanities and threatened death and violence against the officer…
