The T.J. Patterson Branch Library is celebrating a new way to get books into the hands of local children thanks to a donation from Atmos Energy. The company gifted the library a book vending machine, designed to encourage literacy by offering a fun and unique reading incentive.
Branch manager Theresa Wilson said the machine creates opportunities for families and makes the library experience even more special.
“Patterson Library is honored to accept Atmos Energy’s generous gift of a book vending machine, which offers unique reading incentives that put more books in kids’ hands,” Wilson said. “Even for kids who don’t have a library card, this gives us a way to provide them with books they can take home.”…
