LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A Lubbock police officer says a vote from city council Tuesday is the first step toward a better future for those on the force. Councilmembers will vote on the first “meet and confer” agreement between the City of Lubbock and the Lubbock Professional Police Association.
LPPA President and LPD officer of 20 years Michael Everette says the proposed agreement is not exactly what officers were originally hoping for, but says it’s a step in the right direction that will make an immediate impact.
