LUBBOCK, Texas— The Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Investigation Unit confirmed that one person has been pronounced deceased following a crash Tuesday evening in central Lubbock near 50th and Elgin Avenue.

Officers responded to a report of a collision with injuries involving a pedestrian around 10:22 p.m. on Tuesday. Upon arrival, officers located a person lying in the roadway with serious injuries.
The individual was transported to University Medical Center for medical treatment, where he was then pronounced deceased.
