The United Family recalls several items for potential Listeria contamination

LUBBOCK, Texas — The United Family’s parent company, Albertsons Companies, announced that it is voluntarily recalling several store-made items for a possible Listeria contamination. The recall stems from the use of bowtie pasta in the dishes that were previously recalled by its manufacturer, Nate’s Fine Foods of Roseville, Calif.

The grocery giant urged consumers who had purchased any of the products to not consume them and dispose of them or return them to their local store immediately. In addition, it shared guidelines from the FDA, which advise that any surfaces or additional products that came into the contact with the recalled products should be sanitized to prevent cross-contamination.

Listeria infection can cause symptoms like high fever, headache, nausea and diarrhea. There have been no reported illnesses linked to the products, but the company encouraged consumers to stay cautious…
