LUBBOCK, Texas — A heartfelt Facebook post from Leann Fremont, a former student and parent, has sparked an emotional wave of support for Anthony Peppers also known as Coach Pep, a longtime and deeply respected educator and athletic trainer at Lubbock High School.
The social post described the lifelong impact Coach Pep has had on countless students and families over the years.
Fremont said, “He has been with us for a lifetime from being my own coach and teacher to all three of my children,” the post reads. “He has been like a father to many and has had such a great impact on so many people. There is no way we could ever thank him enough for all he has done! Recently we got news of that ugly ‘C’ word trying to take over this man’s body. He will be having surgery tomorrow. To all my prayer warriors, please say a prayer for our family and community friend, Anthony Peppers AKA Coach Pep!”
