Police identify man killed in Central Lubbock crash on Monday morning

LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock Police Department identified the victim who passed away after a crash on Monday morning near 25th Street and Indiana Avenue as Daniel Spray, 57.

LPD was called to the crash at 7:45 a.m.

LPD said the investigation revealed a 16-year-old was driving south in a pickup, while Spray was heading north on Indiana, turning left onto 24th Street. LPD said both vehicles collided in the roadway. The pickup hit a utility pole and a residence.

Police said Spray was found dead inside the passenger car. The 16-year-old pickup truck driver and a 13-year-old passenger had minor injuries and were taken to University Medical Center…
