New data shows South Plains faces growing child care deserts

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A new report from Children at Risk shows many South Plains families are struggling to find affordable child care, with 21 zip codes now classified as child care deserts.

The organization kicked off its Texas Tour in Lubbock, bringing parents, educators, and advocates together to discuss local challenges and solutions.
