Texas Tech fans are fuming over school’s new logo and rebrand

Texas Tech is set to rebrand its logos, and fans have made it clear that they are not pleased with the change, as UNC looks to potentially change its head coach, as the Bill Belichick era has gone disastrously.

Currently, Texas Tech’s logo features a double T in red, with beveled black shading that creates a three-dimensional look. The new logo and subsequent signage will eliminate the black shading, leaving the double T entirely in red, giving the rebrand a two-dimensional refresh.

On social media, fans immediately made their thoughts known on the refresh, believing the university has taken a step back in terms of recognition. This comes as Lane Kiffin blasted an SEC rival for moving its home opener in 2026 to a neutral site over perceived “name, image and likeness dollars.”…
