LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A cement truck was left hanging off the bridge at 130th St. and Slide Rd. Friday afternoon after an incident that prompted emergency response and road closures.
Lubbock Fire Rescue crews were called to the scene just after 2 p.m. after reports that the driver was trapped inside the truck. However, the driver was able to exit the vehicle before crews arrived on scene.
The dramatic scene shows the cement truck suspended from the overpass where construction crews have been working on the bridge. The southbound lanes on Slide Rd. under the bridge remain closed as crews work to address the situation…
