Multiple bullet holes found in Lubbock home, 2 people arrested

LUBBOCK, Texas — Devon Flores, 19, was arrested Wednesday, October 15, on charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Deadly Conduct by discharging a firearm. Zaniah Ortiz, 18, was also arrested on a charge of Deadly Conduct by discharging a firearm.

In an affidavit obtained by EverythingLubbock.com, on Wednesday, October 15, a LPD deputy responded to a shooting in the 4300 block of 31st Street. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with the victim, where they stated they heard gunshots. After the gunshots stopped, the victim went to their door and saw a family member’s ex-girlfriend, Zaniah Ortiz, Ortiz’s sister, and Ortiz’s boyfriend, Devon Flores, outside their residence.

The victim stated that she saw Flores point a handgun at her, and that Ortiz was also holding a handgun, standing in the victim’s front yard. The affidavit shows that the victim stated that all three suspects got back into a small Cadillac SUV and left. Officers arrived on scene and located multiple spent shell casings on the roadway and driveway, also finding bullet holes in the walls of the victim’s residence…
