LUBBOCK, Texas–Dusty Grubbs, 28, the driver of a stolen vehicle that led police on a pursuit Wednesday morning that ended in a crash near 54th and Slide Road, has been released from the hospital and booked into the Lubbock County Jail for Unauthorized Use of a motor vehicle, Evading Arrest by Vehicle Causing Serious Bodily Injury and Felony Theft.

EverythingLubbock.com previously reported that a police officer attempted to stop a stolen vehicle in the 2600 block of 34th Street.
The Driver then led officers on a pursuit during which an attempt was made to use a vehicle containment maneuver. During this attempt, the stolen vehicle struck one of the police cars and continued to flee.
