LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Stanton Taylor, a Lubbock native, was recently diagnosed with stage three Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and is receiving support from his family and community as he goes through treatment.
Taylor’s wife, Kayla Jernigan, and their children, 6-year-old Violet and 2-year-old Maverick, have been by his side since the diagnosis. The family is preparing for the challenges ahead with the help of local supporters.

Jernigan’s co-workers are organizing a trunk or treat car show to help the family pay medical bills. The event is scheduled for Tuesday in the parking lot of Twin Peaks Restaurant at 6012 Marsha Sharp Freeway.
“I just burst into tears, I’m super grateful to have such a good community around us,” Jernigan said. I’m super thankful for all the people I work with and that they’re just willing to go out of their way to make this happen for us and for our family,” Jernigan said.
The evening event will feature custom cars, costumes and candy for all ages. Registration fees will go to the Taylor family, but the event is open to the public to attend…
