LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Moldy food and food that expired back in July, that’s what Lubbock health inspectors found in the kitchen of this week’s only low performer.
Texas Trail inside the Stripes at 533 N Frankford had 14 violations.
- Fried burritos and chicken wings were not at least 135 degrees.
- Containers of diced pineapple, an unidentified diced meat and cheese all had mold growth.
- The pineapple and meat did not have a date mark.
- The cheese expired the first week of July.
- Raw eggs were stored about fruit punch.
- The can opener was dirty.
- The blender was dirty.
- Toxic items were not stored properly.
- There was no soap at the hand sink.

- Two boxes of single-use cups were stored on the floor in the back storage area, near the mop sink.
- Single-use cup was stored in bulk bin of rice.
- Container of diced meat, stored in walk-in cooler, was not identified with the common name of the food.
- Soda syrup spill covered a portion of the floor at the south end of the storage area, across from kitchen area. PIC stated that they are in the process of replacing soda dispensers and that the area is planned to be cleaned.
