Freeze Watch Issued For Lubbock For Wednesday

It wasn’t long ago that we told you freezing weather would be coming for Lubbock. In fact, history shows that Lubbock’s first freeze is right around Halloween. Well, Halloween is on Friday and we could see freezing temperatures before the kids begin trick-or-treating.

Freeze Watch Issued for Lubbock

The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Watch for Lubbock County beginning at 2:00am on Wednesday and lasting until 10:00am on Wednesday. Forecasts show highs on around 59 degrees with a low temperature of 32. Any freeze wont last long with highs expected to be in the 60’s on Thursday.

Temperatures will drop Tuesday after Monday’s highs in the 80’s. The Lubbock area should see high temperatures in the low 60’s on Tuesday.

Rain and Strong Winds Overnight in the Panhandle

The National Weather Service is predicting showers and strong winds as you drive north into the Panhandle. According to a post on X, there is a chance of showers after midnight.
