Up against major U.S. cities, one of the Lubbock area’s favorite barbecue restaurants has made the list for the Best Texas-Style BBQ places in the 2025 USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.
Evie Mae’s BBQ, 217 US-62 in Wolfforth, has been a barbecue jewel since opening in 2016 and has become a regional must-try for local and traveling foodies. The 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards recognized their decadent flavors in the 2025 winners list, announced Wednesday.
“Located just beyond Lubbock limits, Evie Mae’s BBQ wows guests with its ultra-tender brisket and decadent pork ribs,” the 10Best team said. ”All non-bread menu items are entirely gluten free, and while Texas cuisine reigns around here, guests can enjoy classic BBQ with a New Mexico twist thanks to their green chile cheese grits.”…
