A Rant About My Own Neighborhood (and a Totally Fair One)
I’m usually a pretty positive guy. People even tell me it’s annoying how upbeat I am about most things. But let’s be real—sometimes, even the happiest people get fed up.

Case in point: when there’s massive roadwork or a closed road ahead and somehow, no one thought to put up a sign. You’re telling me the city can spend millions tearing up an entire neighborhood, rerouting traffic for weeks, and still can’t afford a $20 “Road Closed Ahead” sign?
It’s the same deal out at Buffalo Springs Lake, where I live. When it rains, all that water from Lubbock drains into the lake, sometimes flooding the road near the campgrounds—the road I use to get to to my house every day. Not a big deal, right? Except… THEY DON’T PUT UP A SIGN TELLING US IT’S CLOSED!
Come on, guys—it’s an easy fix. Just one little sign at the top of the hill that says, “Hey, maybe don’t drive your SUV into a miniature ocean today.” I even made a mock-up in Canva…
