Credit union’s first location in Texas outside of El Paso marks new era of growth and community connection
EL PASO, Texas — GECU has proudly supported members and communities in achieving their financial dreams for more than 90 years. Now, the credit union is expanding its reach across Texas with the groundbreaking of its first branch in Lubbock – its first outside of the El Paso area.
The groundbreaking ceremony took place on Wednesday, November 5 at 11 a.m., at 5035 Milwaukee Ave., in Lubbock. Community members, local leaders, and media attended a meet-and-greet with GECU leadership. The event celebrates a milestone in GECU’s continued mission to spread its people helping people philosophy and deliver trusted financial services to more Texans.
