FOUND Calls on Community to Help Feed Local Students Amid SNAP Benefit Disruption

With recent news confirming that Texans will not receive SNAP benefits in November, one Lubbock nonprofit is stepping up to meet a growing need among local children. FOUND, a grassroots organization led by founder Shea Politte, is mobilizing the community to help students who may face food insecurity in the coming weeks.

“Our model has always been about going straight to the child through their schools,” said Shea . “We work with teachers, counselors, nurses, and school administrators — the people who see these kids every day and know their needs firsthand.”
