LUBBOCK, Texas – The National Ranching Heritage Center (NRHC) at Texas Tech University will once again bring the spirit of the Old West to life during the 47th Annual Candlelight at the Ranch.
More than 5,000 luminaries, primarily lanterns, fireplaces and campfires, will light the 19-acre historic park as visitors experience authentic holiday scenes.

“Pioneer ranches were without electricity, so we strive to recreate what each of our historic structures would have looked like at Christmas in its own time,” said Julie Hodges, NRHC Helen DeVitt Jones Endowed Director of Education. “Authenticity is key, as many of the 55 buildings are more than a century old.”
