Lubbock Police arrested twenty-year-old on Saturday on some very serious charges. Including two charges of kidnapping, one charge of evading arrests, and a charge of reckless driving. Police arrested Jesse Gonzales after a short police chase.
Driver Impersonated Being An Uber Driver
According to a report from KAMC, a Lubbock Police officer early Saturday morning saw a vehicle being driven recklessly heading north on University Avenue. The driver led officers on a brief chase that ended at the intersection of the Marsha Sharp Freeway and Avenue V.
Police arrested the driver identified as Jesse Gonzales after removing three people from his vehicle. Two women were upset and crying according to the report. They told officers that they didn’t know the driver and told Police that he convinced them he was an Uber driver. According to KAMC, when the two women got in the care he drove off quickly. That is what led to a police chase.

Gonzales was taken to the Lubbock County Detention Center on a bond of $111,500.
