LUBBOCK, Texas — After three years of entrances and roads all around the Cast Iron Grill restaurant being covered in construction, it has been completely cleared of it, and their portion of the road is finished. Owner of the Cast Iron Grill, Teresa Stephens, described the first days of clear roads at work.
“It was shocking to me as I was coming down the service road early yesterday morning. It was still dark, and it dawns on me I can pick whatever lane I want because there’s no cones,” Stephens said.

Stephens reminisced on what work was like during the construction.
“We didn’t know which way to get into work. We would have to go down to Buddy Holly and come back up,” Stephens said. “I was asking people to do something I didn’t want to do if I wasn’t working. And that was navigate 19th Street. I would go up to 34th, I would go down Marsha Sharp, I’d go up to 50th.”…
