LUBBOCK, Texas — The City of Lubbock has provided an update for the flood that happened at 114th Street and Frankford Avenue Wednesday afternoon.

A contractor hit a 12-inch water main causing the roads to flood. City crews turned off the water valve so that repairs could be made. As of 5 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, repairs were still ongoing. The City stated that the standing water in the roadway will be pumped out as soon as crews are able to restore water flow to the damaged main.
