Texas – Cold air slides quietly across the South Plains this morning, hinting at a brief winter tease that could whiten parts of Lubbock by early Thursday. A weak upper system tracking in from New Mexico is expected to drop light snow between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning, with a dusting to one-half inch possible in spots across the far southern Texas Panhandle.
