1 arrested after SWAT presence in North Lubbock

LUBBOCK, Texas — One person was arrested after an incident with SWAT presence at the 2300 block of Auburn Street.

According to the Lubbock Police Department, it responded to a call around 5:45 p.m. about a suspicious vehicle at the mobile home park near the scene. Once officers arrived, they spoke with a male, who later armed himself with a knife and refused to leave the house he was in. At around 7:15 p.m., SWAT and a negotiator arrived following a callout. Later around 9:30 p.m., Haime Zerrata, 62, was apprehended.
