Lubbock sales tax revenue up 9.2% in December compared to year ago

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – There was an uptick in Lubbock business activity in October compared to a year earlier. The latest sales tax revenue report from Texas Acting Comptroller Kelly Hancock shows 9.21 percent more sales tax revenue than in October 2024.

The report released Wednesday is for revenue being distributed to cities in December, based on sales made in October by businesses that report tax monthly.
