Lubbock, Texas– Rejelio Olivarez has always loved art. He says he used to get in trouble for graffiti and now he is sought out and paid for his art.
“I used to do portraits…when my dad would come home from work on Friday’s, he would buy a box of Kentucky Fried Chicken, so I would sit in the table and I would get my paper and I would start drawing the colonel,” Olivarez said.
Now an adult and his passion for art more intense, he is a full-time artist who is known for his paintings and Christmas art he does completely freehand. Each design, he says starts from his imagination and only takes a few hours to complete.
