Lubbock postal employee pleads guilty to federal theft charge

LUBBOCK, Texas — Adrian Mendolla, a former Lubbock postal employee, pleaded guilty to a federal theft charge on Monday.

According to court documents, Mendolla admitted to using his position as a postal worker to steal money from the post office for his own personal gain. In July, he was caught on surveillance video opening a safe within the USPS location at Louisville Avenue and removing a $100 bill. After being approached about the footage, Mendolla admitted that he had been stealing money from the location since January 2025. He would be charged with Theft of Government Property and resigned from the USPS.
