LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock Police Department said there was no threat to the school after officers were called to the area of Rise Academy in the 200 block of North MLK Boulevard due to reports of shots fired south of the campus on Tuesday morning.

“At this time, there is no indication that there was a threat to the school, and there is no confirmation that shots were fired at all, only the sound heard and reported to police,” LPD told EverythingLubbock.com.
