Lubbock, Texas- Mario Montez was sitting at a barstool in his kitchen, preparing a sermon for his church’s Sunday service, when he noticed an unusual glow reflecting off a neighbor’s trailer.
The sermon was to be titled “The Five Sins That Christians Shouldn’t Commit.” But before he could finish his notes, Montez realized he was living out his greatest fear.

“I thought it was an emergency type vehicle or a police car or something,” Montez said. “So when I went outside, that’s when I saw that the house was on fire on the backside.”
The fire spread with terrifying speed. Within minutes, Montez said, flames were reaching 20 feet above the roof of the home. He acted quickly to get his dog and his nephew out of the house before moving the family’s cars away from the growing heat…
