LUBBOCK, Texas — According to a social media post, the owner of Otto’s Granary, Kenneth ‘Scott’ Carter, passed away on Jan. 10.
The Lubbock staple has been around for over 40 years, with Carter at the helm during its recent re-opening at a new location. In the aforementioned post, the Otto’s staff described him as, “A familiar and welcoming presence in the store.” They continued, “Scott took great joy in sharing his extensive knowledge of chocolate, coffee, and tea with friends, colleagues and customers alike.”
