LUBBOCK, Texas— Casey Harbison was sentenced to 20 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) on Wednesday afternoon, receiving 629 days of jail credit for the charge of Injury to a Child by Recklessness, resulting in Serious Bodily Injury by Omission.
EverythingLubbock.com previously reported that Harbison, Kristal Morse and Tiffany Whalen were arrested in May 2024 after it was determined that their five-month-old baby had suffered “non-accidental” injuries after he was brought to Covenant Children’s ER.

The affidavit obtained by EverythingLubbock.com revealed that Harbinson claimed he woke up and found the infant in his crib, “cold and limp,” and his eyes “appearing to roll back.” The affidavit also revealed that Morse admitted to investigators that she struck the baby in the back of the head.
