At the top of the list, Lubbockites made one thing very clear: electricity, running water, HVAC, and hot baths are not “luxuries,” they’re non-negotiable. Take away air conditioning or hot water, and you’re not just uncomfortable, you’re actively spiraling. Several listeners treated soft toilet paper and wet wipes with the same level of seriousness, which says a lot about where we draw the line as a society. We are creatures of comfort. That’s for sure.
