Lady Raiders roll on, trample Houston on the road

LUBBOCK, Texas — The No. 18 Lady Raiders rode the momentum of their upset win over then-No. 12 TCU into Houston, with a resounding 85-61 win over the Cougars.

Texas Tech had yet another standout performance from a new face, as senior guard Bailey Maupin was the star tonight. She surged for a game-leading 25 points alongside six rebounds and a pair of steals. Junior Jalynn Bristow made her presence known on the defensive side, with four blocked shots and two steals. She also finished as the Lady Raiders’ second-leading scorer, as she racked up 15 points in the outing. As a team, Texas Tech shot just shy of 50 percent from the field and nearly matched it from beyond the arc, making 44 percent of their shots from deep.
