LUBBOCK, Texas — Enoch Irvin Jr. has been charged with the shooting in May 2025 that led to the death of 33-year-old Roshaud Ward, according to court documents revealed by EverythingLubbock.com.
According to an affidavit obtained by EverythingLubbock.com, the Lubbock Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit found evidence that indicated that Ward was lying on the living room sofa when he was shot in the head. Lubbock authorities also found five 223 spent cartridges and one 9mm spent cartridge on the scene.

On May 28, 2026, at approximately 3:39 a.m., surveillance video captured the suspect vehicle, described as a dark-colored SUV, returning to the 3400 block of 23rd Street. He then traveled westbound, where he stopped against the curb of a business next to Ward’s residence. The suspect continued to drive around, traveling southbound on Joliet Avenue, and was not seen again on video.
Around 3:49 a.m., just after the vehicle was seen travelling southbound in the 2300 block of Joliet, detectives observed what was seen to be a single muzzle flash coming from the front of Ward’s residence, according to court documents…
