LISD Consolidation: District approves locations for new elementary school buildings

LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock ISD School Board approved locations for three new elementary schools Thursday morning.

In May, voters passed a $290 million bond, with over half of the money allocated to building or adding on to the schools.

“In a declining enrollment district, we have a lot of empty space in our schools, ”Superintendent Dr. Kathy Rollo said. “[The bond] is allowing us to take two teeny tiny schools and put the students into one brand new school that’s much more efficient and much more up to date.”
