‘Cats find success in Lubbock at Jarvis Scott Invitational

Texas State track and field competed and broke a school record at the Jarvis Scott Invitational in Lubbock, Texas.

Freshman Ja’Shaun Lloyd set the tone for the Bobcats on day one in the 60 meter dash with a program record-shattering time of 6.60 seconds in the semifinals, however the event finals were not contested. Lloyd, who also competes in the 60 meter hurdles, finished second place in the event with a time of 7.69 seconds.

Junior Anthony Sandoval placed seventh in the men’s 5000 meters with a time of 15:31.10…
