Xcel Energy warns Texas Panhandle of potential power shutoff

LUBBOCK, Texas — Due to unseasonably warm weather, high winds, low humidity and very dry vegetation, a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) may be necessary on Tuesday, February 17, beginning around 9 a.m., according to a Xcel Energy press release.
