5th Annual Buffalo Grass Fest announced at LHUCA

LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock Cultural Arts Foundation has announced its 5th annual Buffalo Grass Fest, with Texas songwriter Shelley King, Lubbock’s John Sprott and his band. The event will begin on Saturday, February 21, at 10 a.m.

Shelly King will go around Lubbock on Friday, February 20:

  • Coronado High School
  • South Plains College
  • An open public Meet and Greet at Texas Tech School of Music at 3:30 p.m.

Shelly King will begin his workshops on Saturday at the LHUCA, starting at 10 a.m., educational sessions on creating video content to promote music will be featured this year. Guests will hear from:

Remembering the man behind Mama Josies restaurant

  • Clement Hall Band — Lubbock’s local band will share their suggestions and answer questions about promoting on social media platforms.
  • Thomas Boyd — Will present a session titled: “Run and Gun Filmmaking – Getting the Most Out of What You Have.” (Boyd directed and produced the documentary “Flatland Forever”)

Lunch will be served to attendees and will allow for networking opportunities with the speakers. The evening will lead into a “Jam Session” led by Joy Harris and Jonny Verbeten at the LHUCA Firehouse Theatre…
