A 49-year-old man was sentenced Friday to six years in prison after admitting to his role in the beating and strangling death of a 52-year-man last year at a home west of Lubbock.
Jonathan Abare, who has been held at the Lubbock County Detention Center since his May 07, 2025 arrest, appeared in the 137th District Court with his attorneys, Charles Blevins and Taha Taha, and pleaded guilty to the lesser included count of manslaughter in the death of 52-year-old Clinton Boadie Park, whose body was found Jan. 22, 2025 at his home in the 1500 block of North County Road 1430.
Manslaughter is a second-degree felony that carries a punishment of two to 20 years in prison…
