Lubbock County breaks 20-year early voting record

LUBBOCK COUNTY, Texas — With early voting wrapping up Friday night, Lubbock County had its highest voter turnout in a 20-year span.

According to the Lubbock County Elections Office, over 30,000 voters cast their ballots early. This mark is the most since 2008, when 25,512 early ballots were collected. It is also significantly higher than the 2024 election, which ended with just shy of 19,000 early votes.
