34th Street is a culinary gem here in Lubbock. Now joining the list of fantastic eats is Pub 55, a new sports grill and lounge, opening soon at the former Woody’s location at 3135 34th.
What We Know About Pub 55 So Far

There’s lot of great clues here. First, we know that they will keep bar hours, so if you are looking for a late-night hang, they’ve got you covered. The interior looks comfortable and laid back, with plenty of TVs to catch all the action. I wouldn’t mind watching a Rangers game over a frosty one!
Additionally, you can see that the bar top is gorgeous and that they have a nice selection of liquors. Thanks to some connections I have, I can also assure you that the kitchen will be led by some very capable folks and that the food will be great- I can’t wait to see a menu.

Miss Woody’s? I’ve got great news for you. They recently reopened at 2608 Salem in the former Gilbert’s location, near Cactus Alley. They have a slightly different menu than before, you can check it out here:
