Spring Break for Texas Tech University and many other major universities and ISDs in Texas is March 14 – 22, encompassing St. Patrick’s Day on Tuesday the 17th. This time for relaxation is commonly paired with plenty of revelry, which is fine, as long as it’s done with both your safety and that of others in mind.

TXDOT & DPS Crack Down on Spring Break Drinking and Driving

To prevent accidents and to save lives, TXDOT & DPS publicly announced that they will be stepping up patrols on roads during Spring Break, and that officers will be watching vigilantly for impaired drivers. They are trying to surprise or ambush anyone; they are giving everyone a big heads up not to drive impaired, as you will likely get caught doing so.
