Lubbock, Texas – Drivers across the South Plains could encounter sudden severe storms Tuesday afternoon as a volatile weather pattern develops west of the Caprock, bringing the risk of large hail and wind gusts strong enough to damage power lines.
According to the National Weather Service in Lubbock, a Level 2 out of 5 severe weather risk covers much of the region from Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday evening.
