The Rams took game one and two Friday and Sunday afternoon, before dropping the second game of Saturday’s double-header, 0-4, and ultimately splitting the series after Sunday’s 2nd loss of the weekend.
The Rams earned a third of their losses on the season in this one series, and ultimately free bases again were the story, especially in Sunday’s loss as the Rams gave a few bases early on. Those did not prove to be huge mistakes as ASU got out of the 1st inning Sunday without allowing those to turn to runs. But the trend this season is 30-40% of the Rams free bases given up have turned to runs for the opposing team.
