LUBBOCK, Texas–Joshua Garcia, 19, was indicted for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Abandoning and Endangering a Child, Assault/Domestic Violence and Interfering with Emergency Services following a domestic incident in January 2026.

According to an affidavit obtained by EverythingLubbock.com, Garcia had an argument with a victim. He then grabbed her by the neck and pushed her to the floor.
Garcia then approached the victim’s mother while holding a hammer. He pushed the hammer against the back of her head and threatened to kill her, according to court documents. Garcia then began hitting the bedroom wall and other objects with the hammer, causing damage…
