The last two days have brought windy conditions to the south plains and on Thursday, the City of Lubbock announced that there has been damage to the boat dock at Lake Alan Henry.
Boat Dock Partially Closed at Lake Alan Henry
According to a press release from the City of Lubbock, due to recent high winds, part of the boat dock at Lake Alan Henry became dislodged and is has led to “significant damage” to part of the dock.
The City of Lubbock also announced that due to another wind storm forecasted for Sunday, staff is removing boat slips to prevent further damage. They are also looking into other options as far as anchoring boat slips and possibly repositioning the dock.
There is still an area to launch watercraft but most of the dock, including the crappie house is blocked off for now…
