Commit! Texas Tech lands three-star edge Brody Pfannenstiel

Texas Tech landed a commitment from 2027 three-star edge Brody Pfannenstiel on Friday. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound versatile athlete out of Hoisington, KS announced his pledge to the Red Raiders on Friday afternoon.

Pfannenstiel chose Texas Tech over announced offers from Duke, Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Louisville, Michigan State, Minnesota, Missouri, Utah and Wisconsin. He’s rated as the No. 61 edge in the country and the No. 4 overall recruit in Kansas for the 2027 class according to 247Sports. The 247Sports Composite, an average of the major recruiting rankings services, ranks Pfannenstiel as the No. 725 overall player in the country, the No. 59 edge in the nation and the No. 4 prospect in Kansas.

Pfannenstiel plays edge and tight end on the gridiron and is a multi-sport athlete at Hoisington (KS) High School, where he also stars on the hardwood and track. He picked up an offer from the Red Raiders last month and is expected to take an official visit to Texas Tech on June 12…
